CarifaTile is one of Ohio’s oldest and most professional tile installation companies. Founded in 1970 as “Tony Carifa Marble and Tile,” the business has grown and expanded into more markets and services just as Tony’s family did. Here is a timeline of the creation and development of CarifaTile.

CarifaTile Senior Staff

Joe Dismuke
Joe DismukePresident, CarifaTile
Joe Dismuke is one of Tony Carifa’s twin sons, and the president of CarifaTile. With more than 15 years’ experience, Joe brings installation expertise and “old time values” to CarifaTile. Joe gets personally involved in every initial customer appointment and ensures that potential clients understand how and why CarifaTile operates the way that it does.
Jack Dismuke
Jack DismukeSenior Lead Installer
Jack Dismuke is Joe’s brother and Tony Carifa’s other twin son. As a senior lead installer for Carifa Tile, Jack is often scheduled for the most intricate installations. Jack demonstrates outstanding customer relationships as well as tile installation expertise.
Larry Moers
Larry MoersOperations Manager
Larry Moers is the “old man” of the group and an honorary Carifa uncle! As operations manager, Larry makes initial customer contact before the sale – reaching out to potential clients, scheduling appointments, following up on proposals after the client has had a chance to review them, and following up after the completion of projects to seek client reactions to their CarifaTile experiences
Ciera Weiss
Ciera WeissOperations Coordinator
Ciera Weiss is the operations coordinator for CarifaTile. In her role she maintains the projects calendar, ensures that installers have the supplies they need for each project, follows up daily with each of the projects that are underway (both installers and home owners), and performs final walk-throughs at job completion to ensure that all of the client’s objectives and CarifaTile’s installation’s standards were met (and exceeded!)
Angelo Hernandez
Angelo HernandezLead Installer
Angelo Hernandez is a lead installer for CarifaTile and a long time employee. In addition to his responsibilities as an installer, Angelo also takes responsibility for ensuring that CarifaTile new hires meet CarifaTile standards for installation quality. It doesn’t matter how many years of experience a new hire may have, they’re not ready to be assigned to projects until Angelo says they’re ready!

The CarifaTile Approach

Each step in CarifaTile’s approach to tile installations is built with the client’s experience in mind.

Whether a potential client comes through computer websites (Thumbtack, Google, ANGI, YELP) magazines (The HomeMag, City Lifestyle) or tile shop recommendations, the experience begins with a personal call to find out the current status of a project, answer customer questions and schedule an in-home appointment. There is never a charge for an appointment with CarifaTile. At the in-home appointment CarifaTile determines the total scope of the project (taking measurements, documenting customer objectives) and shares information as to the types of materials that CarifaTile utilizes and the benefits of material selection and installation techniques.

Within 48 hours of the appointment, the customer receives a detailed, written proposal that lists each of the recommended services that will bring maximum benefit to their project. The written proposal (sent via email) is structured to be easy to understand, with each service clearly detailed and priced. Optional services are listed in a separate section of the proposal. These options enhance the project if the customer so chooses. All items in a proposal are ala carte, allowing the client to pick and choose the services they want for their job. Proposals also list the amount of tile that must be available, and earliest possible start date for the project.

CarifaTile’s communication doesn’t end with the receipt of a proposal. When a customer becomes a client, we contact him or her, usually via a ZOOM meeting, to review each of the sections of the proposal, make immediate changes as the customer dictates and then provide an updated proposal. You’re assured to get exactly what you want with CarifaTile. Updated proposals are sent as soon as the ZOOM meeting is completed.

When the job gets underway, both Ciera and the chosen installer (CarifaTile typically has 10 teams of installers) do an initial walk-through on-site to ensure that everyone is in complete understanding about the installation parameters. CarifaTile installers arrive on time, dressed professionally, ready to begin the day.

Clients can depend on daily visits from CarifaTile staff to ensure their project stays on schedule. It is not unusual for customer-requested changes to happen during the course of an installation. These are handled quickly and professionally. You are always kept in the loop to ensure that you understand the changes to the project timeline and budget that these change orders may require. Clients are never caught unaware of the changes they request to their installations. There are no surprises in CarifaTile installations.

Finally, at the end of each project, CarifaTile performs a final walk-through with you to ensure that the installation has been properly completed.
