CarifaTile uses Kerdi-Board to repair unsuitable substrates or easily and quickly install new, waterproof shower enclosures and tub surrounds.

Say “Goodbye” to cracked tiles and grout! CarifaTile installs Schluter DITRA with all flooring. DITRA is a pliable, sheet-applied waterproofing membrane and vapor-retarder that takes the place of “old school” cement board. Tiles installed on top of DITRA carry unbelievable warrantees against cracking.

Already have the shower or tub surround drywalled? No problem! CarifaTile uses Schluter®-KERDI FABRIC, a pliable sheet-applied polyethylene waterproofing membrane and vapor retarder that guarantees uniform thickness. It is covered with an anchoring fleece on both sides to anchor the membrane in thin-set mortar and is ideal for waterproofing on walls where the studs are already covered.

Ceramic and stone tiles are durable, easy to maintain, and hygienic. However, tiles can be cold! DITRA-HEAT integrates customizable, comfortable electric floor warming with the benefits of DITRA: uncoupling, waterproofing, vapor management and support to ensure a long lasting installation. Many installers consider grout to be a “cash cow.” They use run-of-the-mill grouts that fade over time and require yearly resealing to protect against grease, dirt, and mold. At CarifaTile we use Laticrete grouts – Made by an industry leader. Laticrete Spectralock 1 is stainproof and up to 10 times stronger than other pre-mixed grouts, without the VOC and odor of epoxy. It is as strong as epoxy grout with excellent stain and chemical resistance. Because it’s premixed, you never have to be concerned that the color of the grout at one end of the installation seems to be a different color than what’s at the other.

But…as good as it is, nobody wants to look at a tiled surface and see nothing but grout! CarifaTile’s standard of performance for grout lines is 1/16”. When you look at a CarifaTile installation, you see the beauty of the tile…not a bunch of grout lines.
